We feel incredibly lucky to have found Theriault Quality Carpentry, after encountering absolute chaos in our new home, with poor insulation, and many years of cobbled together construction. Not only were Andrew and his crew pleasant, professional, and kind - but each member of the team were invested in building something that felt like us, and that honoured the great historic bones of the house. Our plans changed dramatically as we uncovered treasures and beautiful spaces to highlight, and Andrew and his team were flexible, making fantastic suggestions, and responding with infinite patience as our plans developed. Both my partner and I work from home, and we genuinely felt lucky to have the TQC team as sort of 'coworkers' throughout the extensive renovations - we miss you guys! The deep care and investment from not only Andrew, but also George, Jack, Taras, Frank and Alex is evident in all the magic little corners and details - owing to the team's willingness to go above and beyond - from salvaged beams, to the absolutely ancient floors covered in layers of paint that were meticulously sanded, and patched. 

Encountering the mess and chaos of our new home felt like a waking nightmare, and somehow Andrew and his team have turned our house into a dream.

Andrew and his team know what they're doing. From the outset Andrew was attentive to our needs – from working through our house-design plans, estimating the overall budget many months in advance of the build, ordering materials when prices were best, and then taking it through the construction process. That is, from foundations and framing (and ours was a unique passive solar design), plumbing and electrical, insulation, and to final exterior finish, etc. This was all done in a competent and thorough manner, with all inspections carried out by municipal authorities passing easily. His easygoing and flexible though confident style was extremely useful for us and our new-home build jitters – patiently and with humour helping us understand and appreciate timeline issues and the building processes. And of particular note in our case, is that Andrew and team were open to new techniques of construction and design. And in the end, what a solidly functional and beautiful build his team left us with. Thank you Andrew (and Piper the construction team mascot dog).

We hired Andrew to build our 100% off grid barn/house structure. This build started in late October with generators only, extremely cold and Bay of Fundy winds blowing directly onto the site. Andrew and his crew showed up every day and were beyond professional and respectful, never once leaving the site untidy.

The outcome was beyond our expectations. The site itself required a solid build to withstand the elements and Andrew’s focus on that detail left me confident he was the best contractor for the job.

His ability to wear many hats throughout the project (tile/finish) and to organize the network of outside trades made this build flow without any delays.

He constantly kept us informed throughout the build. He took every unorthodox "Pinterest" idea I had and made it work. He was polite, professional and brought many ideas to the table.
